# Vesting
> Magna Vesting distributes tokens through the Magna app — most commonly for investor and employee distributions — on custom vesting and unlock schedules.
**Availability:** Paid product. Vesting powers token management and distribution
in the Magna app — uploading and tracking allocations, vesting/unlock
schedules, and on-chain distribution to stakeholders.
## Product Overview
### What Is Token Vesting?
* Token Vesting can either refer to an increase in legal ownership of tokens over time, or the process of distributing tokens to a stakeholder over time.
* Magna automates token distribution based on custom schedules. Some refer to this as "streaming" when the schedule is continuous instead of periodic.
