Unstaking Tokens

Unstaking releases your tokens from the staking contract, making them available for withdrawal once they unlock. This is a prerequisite for withdrawing tokens.

Before You Begin

Check your vault for:

• Principal Staked: Amount currently staked

• Unlock Schedule: When your tokens will unlock

Critical: You must unstake tokens BEFORE their unlock date to withdraw them. Plan unstaking at least 1 week before any unlock event.

Step-by-Step Process

Step 1: Select Unstake Tokens

From the vault actions menu, select "Unstake Tokens".

Step 2: Enter Unstake Amount

1. Review your currently staked amount

2. Input the amount of tokens to unstake

3. Consider your upcoming unlock events when deciding amounts

4. Click "Unstake" to submit your request

Step 3: Magna Creates Transaction

Magna creates an unstaking transaction that includes:

• Unstake amount

• Target staking contract

• Any pending rewards handling

Step 4: Multisig Approval

1. Transaction is sent to your multisig wallet

2. All signers can review the unstaking details

3. Required signers must approve (based on your threshold)

Step 5: Transaction Execution

Once signatures are collected:

1. Transaction executes automatically

2. Tokens move from staked to unstaked status

3. Unstaked tokens remain locked until their unlock schedule date

4. Rewards accumulation stops for the unstaked amount
